Welcome to James Korin Photography.

I am a photographer based in the charming coastal community of Belmont Shore, California. My passion for photography began at an early age, inspired by capturing moments during family vacations. I was immediately drawn to photography’s ability to preserve a single moment in time—one that could later evoke emotion, memory, and nostalgia. There is something truly powerful about an old photograph and its ability to transport us back to a meaningful moment from the past.

Photography has always been my creative outlet. After years spent working in corporate America, I felt a strong desire to pursue a more fulfilling path—one rooted in creativity, human connection, and storytelling.

When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy traveling and exploring remote destinations, which often serve as inspiration for my work. As an avid foodie, I love experiencing culture through cuisine, and when I’m not eating, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, reconnecting and planning our next adventure together.

I work exclusively with professional-grade equipment and the latest post-production tools to ensure your final images are polished, timeless, and of the highest quality. Much of my work takes place outdoors, where I primarily use natural light to create a soft, organic feel. When needed, I incorporate professional lighting techniques to enhance your images while maintaining a natural, refined look.

My photographic style is best described as classic and timeless with a photojournalistic approach. This allows me to capture genuine, unscripted moments while also creating beautifully composed portraits—images that tell your story and remain meaningful for years to come.
